Melton Borough Council – Residential Sites

Melton Borough Council sought options to generate capital receipts and income, from multiple sites in the town centre to enable development of key opportunity areas to meet the strategic needs for the town.

We advised on nine core town centre that were in Council control to regenerate the town centre.  The role involved assessing the development potential and content of multiple sites, determining the strategic use of sites to deliver social, economic, and environmental benefits, and setting out delivery mechanisms.

Uses included residential, hotel, markets, employment uses, 3rd age living/extra care, leisure centres, sports facilities and education.

The strategy was presented to Cabinet which enabled them to make informed decisions regarding the growth and continued prosperity of the town centre.
