Stoke-on-Trent, City Centre Regeneration

We acted for the developer in negotiation of the Development Agreement as part of a regeneration proposal for a proposed £230m, 65,000 sq m of retail, leisure and bus station on a 6.8 ha city centre site.  TCR led on the negotiation of a tripartite agreement between Realis, Stoke-on-Trent City Council and 8 Bus operators with multiple Bus Station Agreements to secure relocation of existing Bus Station and re development of the new Bus Station. 

Tendered, interviewed the bus station development partners following public procurement rules.  Led negotiation of commercial terms for new bus station and planning obligation agreement.  Managed legal and planning input alongside client. Lead on Site Assembly and compulsory purchase strategy and negotiations.  Managed monthly and quarterly reviews with developer board, senior officer team, Chief Executive and Cabinet members.
